Here's a list of answers to frequently asked questions at Cro Rug Latch. The list will be updated when questions arise. How Much Yarn Will You Need? One or more skeins of each. It depends on the size of your project. What Size Hook Should I use? Crochet Mesh Backing: use size C, D, E crochet hook Rug Hook: use whatever size that is comfortable for you. Buy the less experience needles to start. I use Joan Moshinwer Hook, Kenneburkport, Maine set of 4 Do These Patterns Work For Knitting As Well? These patterns are for rug hooking. If you so desire, the written pattern can be knitted by inserting (Knit one row, purl one instead of (RH) Rug Hook What If I Want A Pattern Not On Your File Page Yet? Request it I Never Did Rug Hook Before. How Is It Done? Rug hooking is worked by using a written pattern or a graph, laying your crocheted mesh backing on a hard wooden board on your lap for support. I use a cutting board. Rug hooking is done with a hook needle resembling a crochet hook. Begin by grasping the hook with the right hand, reverse if your left handed. The hook should be facing up to enter the mesh backing. Pulling up stranded yarn. Holding the yarn in your left hand underneath mesh backing. Please watch YouTube video for Basic Rug Hooking. How Are Your Patterns Different From Other On-line Pattern? No Cut Tie Knots to worry about, No color changes, No picture drawing. Backing is smooth. How Do I Do Color Changes? Color changes not required. Color changes is not needed with Cro Rug Latch projects. You will be the one who designs your own crochet mesh backing. How Big Will My Project Be? Small Sizes: Use Crochet Mesh 33 x 28, 33 x 33, 35 x 38 joined together makes Cushions, Rugs, Blankets, Wall Hangings Medium Sizes: Use Crochet Mesh 50 x60, 60 x 60, 50 x 70 joined together makes Cushions, Rugs, Blankets, Wall Hangings Large Sizes: Use Canvas Mesh 90 x 90, 126 x 96, 80 x100 Uses: Rugs, Wall Hanging How Do I Purchase Patterns?
